PERFORMANCE COACHING

A large international healthcare company was embarking on a major new product development programme which was at the point of stalling.  PBS were engaged to provide time critical performance coaching for the Programme Director in order to get the project back on track.

This required working closely with the Director and gaining trust.  A detailed project plan was created, key stakeholders identified, delivery timelines set out, project team roles written and a budget developed.  The new product has been a commercial success, and the Director subsequently promoted.

BUSINESS FRAUD

On day one of being appointed by a small professional services firm, our standard questioning identified a risk to the security of its IT systems.   This led to the discovery of two senior members of the client team who had been fraudulently mis-declaring their billed revenues.   An immediate investigation led to the removal of both individuals with the minimum of legal cost and no loss of business performance.   The firm went on to have a record billing year.

RETENTION OF TOP TALENT

In the words of the CFO of this multinational professional services company: “The primary objective is to make sure that we all know who our brightest people are and to make sure that we have a common and consistent approach to career development that is competitive in the market”.

This study targeted top performers and evaluated the extent to which they had challenging jobs, competitive remuneration, an engaging work environment and promising career growth possibilities.  A series of structured interviews were held, and remuneration data analysed.

The recommendations were accepted and led directly to the retention of four members of staff who otherwise were at risk of leaving to join competitors.

BUSINESS SET UP IN INDIA

A US engineering organization was experiencing difficulty in setting up compensation and benefits offerings for its new subsidiary in Bangalore.   By reaching out to our established network of on-the-ground business and HR practitioners in the technology sector, we were able to provide real time intelligence on market practice.   This led to further requests to create employee benefit plans that have been well received by both the Bangalore subsidiary and the US parent.
